“Design not only adds glamour to the city life, it should also make people's life more comfortable and provide them with a sense of security,” Martine Primeau, from Montreal, Canada, shared her view on “design”with journalists yesterday.

  “Design cannot be design without the power of people. What I think that makes Montreal the 'City of Design' is that, we value talents and we are able to integrate the talents. At the same time, we offer supports to them.”

  Martine Primeau told Montreal is now working on building up more space for the creative talents to communicate and work together. The idea may be a reference for Shenzhen as well.

  “设计为城市生活增添了无限的魅力，它同时也应该使人们的生活更舒适美好，让人们从中得到安全感。”来自加拿大蒙特利尔的代表马蒂·普利茅与记者分享了她对“设计”的理解。

  马蒂·普利茅认为，设计不仅为人服务，更是从“人”中来。“没有人的力量，设计不可能成形。我认为，蒙特利尔能成为‘设计之都’的很大一部分原因是我们重视人才，并能够整合人们的设计力量，为他们提供支持。”

  马蒂·普利茅告诉记者，蒙特利尔正在研究如何为创意人才建立起更多的空间，让他们能够交流彼此的创意想法并在一起工作。这对深圳或许也具有借鉴意义。
