  “In fact, I am accompanying my wife to the conference,” Prof. Antonio Luis Ampliato Briones with University of Seville, Spain said yesterday, smiling.

  Briones is a professor on architecture. His wife, Paz Sánchez Zapata, General Director of Culture at Institute for Culture and Arts of Seville, is the official representative of Seville as a City of Music to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Conference.

  Though an accompany of his wife, Prof. Briones, who has wide interests in culture, architecture, design and creative industries, saw the trip meaningful as he met quite a number of representatives from different creative cities here.

  “They bring experiences of different cultural projects, which are very enlightening,” Prof. Briones added. Knowing Shenzhen is a City of Design, he is keen on collecting information of the city. He visited famous buildings he had read on books, the Jingji 100 tower, for example, which is under construction. Such site-seeing tours is what impressed Briones most during his trip.

  “其实，我这次来是陪太太。”西班牙塞维利亚大学教授安东尼奥·布里尼奥斯笑着对记者说。

  布里尼奥斯是建筑学教授。他妻子是音乐之都西班牙塞维利亚文化与艺术协会秘书长帕斯·萨帕塔女士，也是该市此次来深参加创意城市网络大会的官方代表。

  虽然身份只是“秘书长先生”，但对于文化、建筑、设计、创意产业都很有研究的布里尼奥斯感觉此行仍然富有意义。在网络大会上，他见到了各个创意城市的代表。“他们带来不同文化项目的经验，非常给人启迪。”

  布里尼奥斯说，深圳是设计之都，他在积极地寻找有关这座城市的信息。此前在许多杂志上看到过深圳的著名建筑，例如还在建设的京基１００。能够实地考察这些建筑项目，将是布里尼奥斯的重要收获。
