BA Amadeo Macros, from the first city designated as "City of Design" in the network Buenos Aires, remained modest about that, "There's much we must learn from Shenzhen, your professionalism and efforts on changing the city and becoming a city of design are impressive. "
Compared to such a young city as Shenzhen, Buenos Aires has a long history over 400 years. In Amadeo Macros' eyes, whether or not a city can develop creative industry well does not depend on the length of its history, but how it deals with the unique culture it has. "Do not erase your culture. Respect it and keep it and add it to your design and creativity.As creativity is also part of your culture, and is about what is going on in your city."
In Amadeo Macro's opinion, how to connect design to the community is another critical thing as well as a challenge. Currently, in Buenos Aries, they are trying to build up a platform that allows people to communicate and share what is happening in design field around the globe.
Besides that, it is also essential for the nine cities in the network to continue to work together closly. "I believe that we are the most active sub-network as we have held joint-exhibition, conferences and more quite frequently. All the nine cities are similar in some aspects, at the same time, we are so unique and different that we can learn from each other, which is the most beautiful thing."

与深圳这样的年轻城市相比,布宜诺斯艾利斯是一座拥有超过400年历史的城市。在阿马德奥·马科斯的眼里,一座城市创意产业的发展并不决定于它拥有多少年的历史,而是在它如何对待它所拥有的独特文化。“不要抹去自己的文化。尊重它、保留它然后将它注入你的设计和创意中。创意是城市文化的一部分,也同时反映着城市的各种面貌。”
阿马德奥·马科斯认为,如何连接大众与设计是另一件重要且具挑战性的事。现在,在布宜诺斯艾利斯,他们正在进行着一项计划:建立一个平台,使人们能够交流分享在全球设计领域所发生的一切。
除此之外,九个“设计之都”之间应该持续紧密的合作。“我认为我们是网络内最活跃的一个领域,我们已经一起举办了展览和各种会议。在某些程度上,这九个城市有这相同之处,但我们又是如此不同,因此我们能够互相学习而这正是最美好的一件事。”
