When Internet literature began a decade ago, Qiu Huadong, "People's Literature" magazine editorial director, showed great intreast in it. However, he was disspointed that Internet literature became vulgar literature without literary criticism and responsibility.
Ten years later, the new era has come which is marked by micro-blog. Qiu Donghua feels calm this time. He believes that micro-blog is an information carrier. And there is no any special relationship between them. The content and thought of literuture needs depth, length and strength that micro-blog can't be achieved.
In Qiu's opinion, there is no doubt that new technology and new media affect literature, but he still remains confident in printing media. He thinks that Internet is just a carrier. The most important question is "how to make the new literature represented by new media."
